Learning piano as an adult has been a personal journey for me. I didn’t grow up reading music or taking lessons. Everything I’ve learned, I picked up on my own, through videos, trial and error, and a lot of frustration. For a long time, I’d work on little sections of songs I loved, especially more advanced pieces, but I could never quite pull the whole thing together. It always felt just out of reach. I’d learn the intro, maybe the chorus, then hit a wall.

Thanks to Bill, I’ve gone from playing bits and pieces to actually finishing entire songs, some of which I never thought I’d be able to play. And I’m not just memorizing; I’m really playing. I’m understanding how the music works and feeling more connected to it. That’s been huge for me.

What I appreciate most is that Bill never made me feel like I had to catch up or fit into a mold. He helped me grow from exactly where I started. I’m playing full pieces now that I used to only dream about, and for the first time, I feel like a real musician.

I’m genuinely grateful for the impact he’s had on my playing and my confidence.
